Performance Squad
Once the Turbo swimmers have achieved the standard, then they are invited to join the Performance Squad. This Squad caters for swimmers aged 11 years and older who wish to compete at regional, national and international level.
Swimmers are still encouraged to stay with their other sports and activities, but make swimming their number one sport. Attendance varies from swimmer to swimmer based on age, number of years swimming and their competition level. The minimum attendance is 4 workouts per week rising to 9 workouts for a much older swimmer competing at the national championships.
As per the Turbo Squad, we place a big emphasis on teamwork and all swimmers are encouraged to attend, work hard and to support their team mates. Having fun and enjoying the swimming journey is always at the centre of what we do. Having a growth mindset, developing resilience and courage are also the key ingredients that we promote on a daily basis.
New challenges are introduced to ensure that the swimmers connect their training sets and skills to their swim meets so that they can race with confidence and style.
